Start scanning process

After you have set all the parameters, the scanner is switched on

and the drawing is ready, you can start the scan. To do this,

click on the following button in the control bar:

Place the drawing in the bypass tray how it is described in the

"Copy Reference" Manual.

Note: If the function "User authentication" is activated

at the RW-480 plotter, you now have to enter your user

name and user code before you can continue

scanning. If you do not have your user name and user

code, ask your administrator how these are set up at

the RW-480 plotter!

The actual function "User authentication" is described in the

section ""Engine Access Control" tab/User authentication" from

page 75.

Attention: If the sleep mode of the plotter is activated,

you have to deactivate it before scanning. Read the

notes in the "Copy Manual" of the plotter for it.

After the scanning process is completed, the drawing is loaded

in the File Viewer. You can now edit the drawing (see chapter

"Drawing editor", Page 187). Back up drawing using the

keyboard shortcut "CTRL+S" or the relevant save button. If you

wish to produce a job order for the scanned drawing, first read

the chapter "Prepare print jobs ", Page 179.
