Scanning using the RICOH Aficio IS330DC

There are two ways to scan using the RICOH Aficio IS330DC network scanner. The first

way is to scan with Adobe Acrobat Professional. This is the most intuitive method and

allows you to scan to the very professional pdf format. The second way is to use

“DeskTopBinder Lite” software that can be installed on your computer.

Scanning with Adobe Acrobat Professional

First, open Adobe Acrobat Professional (note: make sure that it is indeed professional and

not just the reader). Once Adobe Acrobat Professional is open, click on File in the left

corner of the screen and chose “Create PDF”. More options will appear allowing you to

click on “From Scanner…”

The following window will then pop up. Set the scanner to IS330DC(Network). You then

have the option of scanning one or both sides of the document. The OCR option will

attempt to recognize text in the document to allow you to search for items within the text.

By default this option is on and it is best to leave this option on.
