5. Appendix

When the Front Cover Does Not Close

When "Close Front Cover" appears on

the panel display, even if the cover

seems to be closed properly, it is not.

When the front cover does not close,

confirm that the Transfer Unit is at-

tached firmly.

The Transfer Unit is attached to the

position shown in the illustration.

Turn off the power switch and

unplug the power cable.

If the light brown lever is in the

position shown in the illustra-

tion, turn it counterclockwise.

Push in the Transfer Unit until it

stops.

Confirm that the protrusion inside

the printer is in the upper left hole

of the Transfer Unit.

Turn the light brown lever clock-

wise.
